Finding parts in Canada/ North America Empty Finding parts in Canada/ North America

Sun Aug 02, 2020 10:22 pm
I have spent 6 hours trying to source the parts for the V1 build. I am having a hard time finding some of them. The 25mm flange mount bearing seems to unobtainable in north america. I have managed to find the 3mm pitch belts on amazon US along with the 5 turn 10k pot. Does anyone know what size the idler pulleys are? 6mm width and 4mm bore is not enough info. Ordering parts from ebay UK is way to expensive for shipping ( $75 for most items). China to Canada shipping will take 3 to 6 months (I think this is due to the current Canada/China relationship). Any help is appreciated.

Update. I managed to find all the parts except for the idler pulley. Anyone know what size it is?

Finding parts in Canada/ North America Empty Parts to Canada - Bearing and Idler

I know this isn't a North America link, but do they not deliver to you?  I'm in Canada and get Ebay deliveries no problem.  Have you tried Princess Auto for those bearings?

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-SBPFT205-16-1-Pressed-Steel-Triangle-3-Bolt-Flange/301906512708

I re-read your update after adding the link, but the link for the idler is here: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/GT2-Idler-Timing-Pulley-Bearing-16T-20T-3-4-5mm-Bore-for-6-10mm-Belt-3D-Printer/313335773455?var=612216223219

I hope it helps.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up machining my own bearing holders and sorted out all the other parts. I did get the plain bearings at princess auto. Sometimes ebay shipping is more than the parts you are buying. My modified sidewinder yoke is working well now.

I wanted to post this here incase it may help someone in the future. I found the 25mm bearing based out of the US. SBPFT205-25MM .
I have pretty much found everything in the US minus the belt and pulleys, I can only get GT2 belts with has 2mm pitch. So I'm holding off,  debating whether to remake the gears with gt2 where needed or continue the search for the belts this side of the pond. Figured I had time to figure this out while I wait for the Joystick to show up.
